I have just tested it with the Windows 8 ASUS (the game works fine as usual) and the game does play nice with SwiftShader, which absolutely affects the game. right-click the game in your games library go to game properties the local files then click on browse local files, when windows explorer opens right click on bejewled3. I have used this many times and have never encountered any problems, but use at your own risk blah blah usual disclaimer. The game doesnt run as well on Windows 10 as before but it is possible to run it. If a game uses DirectX8, DirectX9, or certain other things then SwiftShader intercepts the game's rendering calls and handles them itself. What you could try is to uninstall and reinstall the game completely. I played for about 10 minutes before I had to leave my computer. I downloaded the game and started it, no problem. ![]() SwiftShader allows a computer to do things it normally cannot do. I just purchased Bejeweled 3 through 'On the House'. ![]() You copy these three files into the folder that contains the EXE file of the game AND NOWHERE ELSE- you do NOT replace any Operating System files. There is something called "SwiftShader." This is actually three files: d3d8.dll, d3d9.dll, and SwiftShader.ini for adjustments. This occurs when a program tries to access memory it isn't allowed to use, especially "no man's land." I have this problem with a number of games on my old Sony VAIO (2001, XP) and an old Dell (2002, XP, different hardware). I've noticed a number of people here are getting a "C0000005" error message.
